Regular Hypoallergenic Formula

For normal, healthy, active dogs without any health, or food allergy related issues.

Pre-Mix ingredients: Organic milled whole brown rice, organic whole oats, organic whole barley, calcium, carob, 100% pure alfalfa, Acadian sea kelp, oregano, marjoram, parsley, rosemary, ginger, garlic.

The above is mixed with a protein source, a green vegetable, an orange vegetable, red apple, egg, oil, and water.

Hypoallergenic gluten free  formula

For dogs with allergies all year round. If your dog suffers from chronic ear infections, or chronic skin problems, gluten free is definitely worth trying. If your dog suffers from seizures, gluten free foods have been shown to lessen the number and degree of seizures.  A minimum of 6 - 8 weeks is recommended, using a protein source that has not been fed before, i.e. lamb or pollock (white fish). In order to determine if gluten is the source of your dogs issues, going gluten free is an all or nothing approach. Therefore, all treats, biscuits, or basically anything that goes into your dogs mouth needs to be monitored diligently.

Gluten is a protein group found in wheat and other flours that forms the structure of the bread dough. Gluten holds the carbon dioxide produced by the yeast and expands during fermentation, and provides the elasticity and extensibility (stretch) in bread dough. Glutenin and gliadin are the two proteins that form gluten. Celiac disease, also known as gluten intolerance, is a condition in which glutens cause destruction of the villi in the small intestine. The damaged villi are unable to function properly, resulting in poor absorption of nutrients. The villi are hair-like protrusions INTO the intestine, emanating from the wall of the intestine. The purpose of the villi is to slow the passage of food, and to allow food particles to be captured in among these finger-like villi, so that the blood inside the villi can absorb the nutrients in the food.

The above is mixed with a protein source, a green vegetable, an orange vegetable, red apple, oil, and water. Egg can also be added if gluten free is not being fed for possible food allergies, as egg could cause sensitivities.
